  • > Harrington Mann
1864 - 1937
Harrington Mann studied at Glasgow School of Art, the Slade, London and at Academie Julian, Paris. Early paintings were of Yorkshire fishing communities, but from the early 1890s he started making his name as a portrait painter, working both in London and New York. Mann also painted landscapes in Italy; other work included stained glass designs for a Glasgow firm and decorative panels for a girls' school in Dumbartonshire.
