Norman McBeath b. 1952

Norman McBeath is a photographer and printmaker with work shown in the Leica Gallery, New York; the Royal Academy, London, and the National Portrait Galleries in Edinburgh and London. The National Portrait Galleries in London and Edinburgh hold over seventy of his portraits. His collaborations with poets, which have been shown widely in Britain and North America, include Plan B with Paul Muldoon (Enitharmon Press, 2009), The Beach with Kathleen Jamie (Easel Press, 2013), and Venice with Robert Crawford (Easel Press, 2013).

 

Recently awarded a Fellowship at the Ballinglen Arts Foundation, Co. Mayo (2015) he was subse­quently invited to show work from the Fellowship in the exhibition Between the Land and the Sea (2016) at the Keeper’s House, Royal Academy, London.

 

The Holy Rood collaboration Robert Crawford has recently been acquired by, among others, the British Library, the National Library of Scotland, and the Yale Center for British Art.
